145. - (1) A select committee shall be appointed, to be called the Liaison Committee-

(a) to consider general matters relating to the work of select committees,

(b) to give such advice relating to the work of select committees as may be sought by the House of Commons Commission, and

(c) to report to the House its choice of select committee reports to be debated on such Wednesdays as may be appointed by the Speaker in pursuance of paragraph (4) of Standing Order No. 10 (Wednesday sittings).

(2) The committee shall report its recommendations as to the allocation of time for consideration by the House of the estimates on any day or half day which may be allotted for that purpose; and upon a motion being made that the House do agree with any such report the question shall be put forthwith and, if that question is agreed to, the recommendations shall have effect as if they were orders of the House:

Proceedings in pursuance of this paragraph, though opposed, may be decided after the expiration of the time for opposed business.

(3) The committee shall have power to send for persons, papers and records, to sit notwithstanding any adjournment of the House, and to report from time to time.

(4) Unless the House otherwise orders, each Member nominated to the committee shall continue to be a member of it for the remainder of the Parliament.

(5) The quorum of the committee shall be six.

145. - (1) Sarà costituita una select committee denominata Commissione di collegamento

(a) per l’esame di questioni generali concernenti il lavoro delle select committee,

(b) per esprimere i pareri concernenti il lavoro delle select committee che possano essere richiesti dalla House of Commons Commission, e

(c) per riferire alla Camera la propria scelta circa le relazioni di select committee da porre in discussione nei Mercoledì che potranno essere indicati dallo Speaker in applicazione dello Standing Order n. 10 (Sedute del Mercoledì).

(2) La commissione riferirà le proprie raccomandazioni sulla ripartizione del tempo per l’esame da parte della Camera delle stime previsionali nelle giornate o mezze giornate che potranno essere a tal fine assegnate; e su di una mozione presentata che la Camera concordi con una tale relazione la questione sarà posta immediatamente e, qualora tale questione venga approvata, le raccomandazioni avranno effetto come se fossero order della Camera:

i lavori in applicazione del presente paragrafo, sebbene vi sia opposizione, possono essere decisi dopo lo scadere del tempo per l’attività su cui vi sia opposizione.

(3) La commissione avrà potere di convocare persone e richiedere materiali e documenti, di riunirsi nonostante qualunque aggiornamento della Camera, e di riferire periodicamente.

(4) A meno che la Camera non disponga diversamente, ciascun Membro nominato nella commissione continuerà ad esserne membro fino al termine della legislatura.

(5) Il numero legale della commissione sarà di sei membri.
