99. - (1) On each of the days specified in an order of the House under paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 100 (Scottish Grand Committee (sittings)) for the consideration of motions for the adjournment of the Scottish Grand Committee, such motions of which notice has been given in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3) below shall have precedence.

(2) A member of the committee giving notice of a motion for the adjournment of the committee under this order shall-

(a) also give notice of the subject to which he intends to call attention on the motion for the adjournment of the committee, and

(b) give such notice of motion and of the subject in writing not later than ten sitting days before that on which the motion is to be made:

Provided that the subject to which attention is called must relate to Scotland.

(3) The days specified for the consideration of motions for the adjournment of the committee under this order shall be allocated as follows-

(a) four at the disposal of the government;

(b) two at the disposal of the leader of the largest Opposition party in Scotland; and

(c) two at the disposal of the leader of the next largest Opposition party in Scotland

Provided that a day specified in an order of the House under paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 100 (Scottish Grand Committee (sittings)) on which business is to be interrupted at or after half-past three o’clock shall, if no business other than that to which this order applies is set down for consideration on that day, be deemed to be two days for the purposes of this order.

(4) For the purposes of this order, the “largest” and “next largest” opposition parties in Scotland shall be those parties, not being represented in Her Majesty’s Government and of which the Leader of the Opposition is not a member, which have the largest and next largest number of Members who represent constituencies in Scotland, and of which not fewer than three Members were elected to the House as members of those parties.

99. - (1) In ciascuno dei giorni specificati in un order della Camera ai sensi del paragrafo (1) dello Standing Order n. 100 (Gran Commissione Scozzese (sedute)) per l’esame di mozioni per l’aggiornamento della Gran Commissione Scozzese, tali mozioni, di cui sia stato dato preavviso in conformità ai successivi paragrafi (2) e (3), avranno la precedenza.

(2) Un membro della commissione che dia preavviso di una mozione per l’aggiornamento della commissione ai sensi del presente order

(a) darà anche preavviso dell’argomento su cui intenda richiamare l’attenzione nella mozione per l’aggiornamento della commissione, e

(b) darà tale preavviso di mozione e dell’argomento per iscritto non oltre dieci giorni di seduta prima di quello in cui la mozione debba essere presentata:

A condizione che l’argomento su cui si richiama l’attenzione riguardi la Scozia.

(3) I giorni specificati per l’esame di mozioni per l’aggiornamento della commissione ai sensi del presente order saranno distribuiti come segue:

(a) quattro a disposizione del governo;

(b) due a disposizione del leader del maggiore partito di Opposizione in Scozia; e

(c) due a disposizione del leader del secondo maggiore partito di Opposizione in Scozia:

A condizione che un giorno, specificato in un order della Camera ai sensi del paragrafo (1) dello Standing Order n. 100 (Gran Commissione Scozzese (sedute)), in cui l’attività debba essere interrotta alle o dopo le 15.30 sarà considerato come due giorni ai fini del presente order, se non sia previsto in quel giorno l’esame di alcuna attività diversa da quella cui si applica il presente order.

(4) Ai fini del presente order il “maggiore” ed il “secondo maggiore” partito di opposizione in Scozia saranno quei partiti, che non siano rappresentati nel Governo di Sua Maestà e di cui il Leader of the Opposition non sia membro, che abbiano il maggiore ed il secondo maggiore numero di Membri che rappresentino collegi elettorali in Scozia, e di cui non meno di tre Membri siano stati eletti alla Camera come membri di quei partiti.
