78. - (1) Lords amendments to public bills shall be appointed to be considered on a future day, unless the House shall order them to be considered forthwith.

(2) When the order of the day for the consideration of Lords amendments to a public bill has been read, the House shall proceed to consider the same without question put, unless the Member in charge thereof nominates a future day for their consideration.

(3) If the Speaker is satisfied that a Lords amendment imposes a charge upon the public revenue such as is required to be authorised by resolution of the House under Standing Order No. 49 (Certain proceedings relating to public money) and that such charge has not been so authorised, on reaching that amendment, the Speaker shall declare that he is so satisfied and the amendment shall be deemed to have been disagreed to and shall be so recorded in the Journal.

78. - (1) Gli emendamenti approvati dai Lord ai progetti di legge di interesse pubblico saranno assegnati all’esame in un giorno futuro, a meno che la Camera non disponga che vengano esaminati immediatamente.

(2) Quando sia stato letto il punto all’ordine del giorno per l’esame degli emendamenti approvati dai Lord ad un progetto di legge di interesse pubblico, la Camera procederà ad esaminarli senza posizione della questione a meno che il Membro che ne è responsabile non indichi un giorno futuro per il loro esame.

(3) Se lo Speaker è convinto che un emendamento approvato dai Lord imponga un onere a carico dell’erario tale da dover essere autorizzato mediante risoluzione della Camera ai sensi dello Standing Order n. 49 (Procedure inderogabili relative alle finanze pubbliche) e che tale onere non sia stato così autorizzato, nel raggiungere quell’emendamento lo Speaker dichiarerà di essere in tal modo convinto e si presumerà che l’emendamento sia stato respinto e così verrà riportato nel Processo verbale.
