22. - (1) Notices of questions shall be given by Members in writing to the Table Office.

(2) A notice of a question, or of an amendment to a motion standing on the order paper for which no day has been fixed or of the addition of a name in support of such a motion or amendment, which is given after half-past ten o’clock in the evening shall be treated for all purposes as if it were a notice handed in after the rising of the House.

(3) A Member shall indicate on the notice of any question whether it is for oral or written answer and a Member may indicate a date for answer of a question for written answer in accordance with paragraph (4) of this order.

(4) Where a Member has indicated that a question is for written answer on a named day the Minister shall cause an answer to be given to the Member on the date for which notice has been given, provided that the requirement of notice shall be the same for such questions as that prescribed in this order for questions for oral answer.

(5) Notice of a question for oral answer may not be given on a day earlier than ten sitting days before the day for answer, provided that, where that earliest day would otherwise fall on a Friday, the earliest day on which such notice may be given will instead be the previous sitting day.

(6) Notice of any question for oral answer must appear at latest on the notice paper circulated two days (excluding Saturday and Sunday) before that on which an answer is desired.


(7) When it is proposed that the House shall adjourn for a period of fewer than four days, any day during that period (other than a Saturday or Sunday) shall be counted as a sitting day for the purpose of calculating the period in paragraph (5) of this order.

(8) When it is proposed that the House should adjourn for a period of more than three days the Speaker shall cause to have printed and circulated with the Vote a memorandum superseding the provisions of paragraphs (5) and (6) of this order, provided that each day named as the earliest on which notice of a question for oral answer may be given shall as far as practicable fall on the same day of the week as that on which the question is to be answered; and also setting out the latest day for notice of questions for oral answer on each of the first two sitting days following that adjournment, provided that each such day shall not be fewer than two days (excluding Saturday and Sunday) before the day for answer.

22. - (1) I preavvisi di interrogazioni saranno presentati dai Membri per iscritto al Table Office.

(2) Un preavviso di una interrogazione, o di un emendamento ad una mozione iscritta all’ordine del giorno ma per il cui esame non sia stata fissata alcuna data (nota 21), o di aggiunta di un nome a sostegno di tale mozione o emendamento, che sia presentato dopo le 22.30 sarà trattato a tutti gli effetti come se fosse un preavviso consegnato dopo la fine della seduta della Camera.

(3) Un Membro indicherà nel preavviso di qualunque interrogazione se questa sia a risposta orale o scritta e potrà indicare una data per la risposta ad una interrogazione a risposta scritta in conformità al paragrafo (4) del presente order.

(4) Laddove un Membro abbia indicato che una interrogazione è a risposta scritta per un giorno specifico, il Ministro provvederà che una risposta venga data al Membro alla data per cui è stato dato preavviso, a condizione che i termini di preavviso per tali interrogazioni saranno gli stessi prescritti nel presente order per le interrogazioni a risposta orale.

(5) Il preavviso di una interrogazione a risposta orale non può essere presentato in un giorno anteriore a dieci giorni di seduta prima del giorno della risposta, a condizione che, laddove il primo giorno utile coincida con un Venerdì, il primo giorno in cui tale preavviso può essere presentato sarà invece il precedente giorno di seduta.

(6) Il preavviso di una interrogazione a risposta orale deve comparire al più tardi sul foglio dei preavvisi distribuito due giorni (esclusi Sabato e Domenica) prima di quello in cui è richiesta una risposta.

(7) Nel caso in cui venga proposto che la Camera si aggiorni per un periodo inferiore a quattro giorni, qualunque giorno (diverso da Sabato o Domenica) durante tale periodo sarà computato come giorno di seduta ai fini del calcolo del periodo di cui al paragrafo (5) del presente order.

(8) Qualora venga proposto che la Camera debba aggiornarsi per un periodo superiore a tre giorni, lo Speaker provvederà che venga stampato e distribuito con il fascicolo d’archivio un memorandum in deroga alle disposizioni dei paragrafi (5) e (6) del presente order, a condizione che ciascun giorno indicato come il primo giorno utile per la presentazione del preavviso di una interrogazione a risposta orale dovrà per quanto possibile cadere nello stesso giorno della settimana rispetto a quello in cui l’interrogazione deve avere risposta; ed indicando anche l’ultimo giorno utile per la presentazione del preavviso di interrogazioni per cui si richieda risposta orale in uno dei primi due giorni di seduta successivi a quell’aggiornamento, a condizione che ciascuno di tali giorni non dovrà essere meno di due giorni prima (esclusi Sabato e Domenica) del giorno per la risposta.
