9. - (1) The House shall meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at half-past two o’clock and will first proceed with private business, motions for unopposed returns and questions.

(2) No motion for the adjournment of the House shall be made on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday until all the questions asked at the commencement of public business shall have been disposed of, and, save as provided in paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 24 (Adjournment on specific and important matter that should have urgent consideration), no Member other than a Minister of the Crown may make such a motion on any day before the orders of the day or notices of motions shall have been entered upon.

(3) At ten o’clock on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the proceedings on any business then under consideration shall, save as otherwise provided in paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 15 (Exempted business), be interrupted; and, if the House be in committee, the chairman shall leave the chair, and report progress and ask leave to sit again; and if a motion has been made for the adjournment of the House (unless that motion is included in a motion to be made after the interruption of business under paragraph (2) of Standing Order No. 15 (Exempted business), or of the debate, or in committee that the chairman do report progress, or do leave the chair, every such motion shall lapse.

(4) On the interruption of business the closure may be claimed; and if moved, or if proceedings under Standing Order No. 36 (Closure of debate) be then in progress, the Speaker or the chairman shall not leave the chair until the questions consequent thereon and any further question, as provided in Standing Order No. 36 (Closure of debate), have been decided.

(5) An order of the day not disposed of before the termination of a sitting shall be deferred to such day being a day on which the House ordinarily sits asthe Member in charge of that order may appoint and any order of the day not reached before the termination of a sitting shall, unless the Member in charge of the order has given other instructions to the Clerk at the Table, stand over until the next sitting.

(6) After the business under consideration at ten o’clock has been disposed of, no opposed business shall be taken, save as provided in Standing Order No. 15 (Exempted business).

(7) The House shall not be adjourned except in pursuance of a resolution or by the Speaker in pursuance of Standing Order No. 46 (Power of the Speaker to adjourn House or suspend sitting):

Provided that, when a substantive motion for the adjournment of the House has been made at or after ten o’clock in the evening the Speaker shall, after the expiration of half an hour after that motion has been made, adjourn the House without putting any question.

9. - (1) La Camera si riunirà i Lunedì, Martedì e Giovedì alle 14.30 e procederà inizialmente all’attività di interesse privato (nota 4), all’esame di mozioni per la presentazione di documenti da parte del Governo e allo svolgimento di interrogazioni.

(2) Nessuna mozione per l’aggiornamento della Camera sarà presentata di Lunedì, Martedì o Giovedì fino a che non siano state svolte tutte le interrogazioni presentate all’inizio dell’attività di interesse pubblico e, salvo quanto disposto al paragrafo (1) dello Standing Order n. 24 (Aggiornamento su specifica ed importante questione da esaminare con urgenza), nessun Membro che non sia un Ministro della Corona può presentare una tale mozione in qualunque giorno prima che si sia passati all’esame delle questioni all’ordine del giorno e delle comunicazioni di mozioni.

(3) Alle ore 22.00 dei Lunedì, Martedì, Mercoledì e Giovedì i lavori relativi a qualunque attività in quel momento in esame saranno interrotti, salvo quanto altrimenti disposto al paragrafo (1) dello Standing Order n. 15 (Attività esenti); e, qualora la Camera sia riunita in sede di commissione (nota 5), il presidente lascerà il seggio della presidenza, riferirà sull’andamento dei lavori e chiederà l’autorizzazione a riunirsi ancora; e qualora sia stata presentata una mozione per l’aggiornamento della Camera (a meno che una tale mozione non sia inclusa in una mozione che deve essere presentata dopo l’interruzione dei lavori secondo il paragrafo (2) dello Standing Order n. 15 (Attività esenti)), o della discussione, o in commissione, affinché il presidente riferisca sull’andamento dei lavori o lasci la presidenza, ogni simile mozione decadrà.

(4) All’interruzione dei lavori può essere invocata la chiusura; e se formalmente richiesta, o se sia in corso in quel momento la procedura di cui allo Standing Order n. 36 (Chiusura della discussione), lo Speaker o il presidente non lascerà il seggio della presidenza fino a che non si sia deliberato sulle relative questioni e su qualunque ulteriore questione, secondo quanto disposto nello Standing Order n. 36 (Chiusura della discussione).

(5) Un punto all’ordine del giorno (nota 6) su cui non si sia deciso entro la fine di una seduta sarà rinviato ad un successivo giorno di seduta ordinaria della Camera secondo quanto indicato dal Membro che ne è responsabile e qualunque punto all’ordine del giorno non raggiunto entro la fine della seduta sarà rinviato alla seduta successiva, salvo che il Membro che ne è responsabile abbia dato altre istruzioni al Clerk at the Table.

(6) Dopo che l’attività in esame alle ore 22.00 sia stata decisa, non si passerà ad alcuna attività su cui vi sia opposizione (nota 7), salvo quanto disposto nello Standing Order n. 15 (Attività esenti).

(7) La Camera non sarà aggiornata salvo che in attuazione di una risoluzione o da parte dello Speaker in attuazione dello Standing Order n. 46 (Potere dello Speaker di aggiornare la Camera o sospendere la seduta):

A condizione che, quando una mozione autonoma (nota 8) per l’aggiornamento della Camera sia stata presentata alle ore 22.00 o successivamente nella serata, lo Speaker aggiornerà la Camera senza porre alcuna questione, dopo lo scadere di mezz’ora dalla presentazione di quella mozione.
